Rag Pickers Development

The Rags Pickers Community migrated from Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh states of India.

They came into the city as migrant workers and found work in the dump yard where the garbage of the entire city is dumped every day.

​

They go inside the dump yard to collect the recyclable waste and that is how they make their livelihood.

Working at the dump yard is unsafe and many health hazards are involved in the same.

People from this community are usually looked down on and they are doing a great service to the Government by segregating waste and recycling it.

We provide skills training, livelihood training and opportunities, community development, and child development to the Rag Pickers community in Nagpur.
